2D FUTURITY FULL SECOND SPLIT

Futurity is open to horses 5 and under that have not competed prior to December 1 of year preceding futurity. Horse may only run once in a JJ Classic Barrel Futurity as a futurity horse (either as a 3, 4 or a 5 yr old) Derby is open to any horse 7 yrs and under that is not eligible for the futurity barrel class. M ay compete in derby as long as eligible. All derby late entries will run at the end on Sat and first on Sun. The Futurity and the Derby Pay outs will be paid out in a 2D Format. The Futurity will be a full second split and derby is a half second split.  2 Go’s and an average with each go paying 30% and 40% to the average.  Awards are based on the average and are for the top placings overall. The first payment made will be considered the nomination. Nominations postmarked anytime after JULY 1st, 2009 will be assessed a $50 late fee PER LATE PAYMENT. Once nomination is made, any sustaining payment RECIEVED after the dates identified above will also be assessed a late fee of $50 PER LATE PAYMENT. FUTURITY Entries accepted until JULY 24THwith late penalties. ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER JULY 24TH FOR THE FUTURITY. LATE/ON SITE ENTRIES ACCEPTED FOR DERBY WITH LATE PENALTIES. All payments must be postmarked on or before they are due, regardless of a Sunday or a Holiday. NO EXCEPTIONS ON ANY RULES. Derby / Futurity / Open Vet Release / Horse Substitution Rules / Rider Substitution Rules NO SUBSTITUTION OF HORSES.   Substitution of rider due to injury, illness, death, or sale of a nominated horse will be allowed (with 48 hour notice prior to event) with a $40 fee.   2D Futurity is Full Second split (i.e. 15.00, 16.00). The Derby is a 2D Half Second Splits (i.e. 15.00, 15.50) $30 returned fee on all returned checks.

The event staff reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any entry due to unsportsmanship or unsafe conduct.
